Bio

Born and bred in Chicago, IL. Tom was a proven filmmaker from an early age. He received his Film Production degree at Chapman University's Dodge College of Film and Media Arts and went on to work for David Foster Productions, The Dr. Phil Show, and Whitelist Content.

Trained writer and director. He has completed 10 feature screenplays and directed for film, web series, and stage (most recent work posted on site). He is also a Second City, iO, and UCB trained improviser.

He lives and works in Los Angeles.

Bio

Born and raised in Chicago, IL, Tom has been a dedicated filmmaker from the age of eight. He received his B.F.A. in Film Production at Chapman University's Dodge College of Film and Media Arts and his M.F.A in Screenwriting with honors at California State University, Northridge. His professional work includes feature film development and screenwriting for David Foster Productions and Pan Pacific Pictures LLC (for Hollywood legend James Hong), TV production and post-production for The Dr. Phil Show and The Doctors, and commercial production for Florence (formerly Whitelist Content).

A working screenwriter, producer, and director, Tom has written feature screenplays and directed several festival award-winning films, web series, and stage plays (check out his recent work posted under the “Creative” tab).  He is also a Comedy Sportz and UCB trained improviser. In his spare time, he taught film production and directing as Lead Instructor for the Dodge Summer Film Academy and continues to teach as an adjunct lecturer at The Dodge College for Film and Media Arts, both housed at Chapman University. He also taught teaching a foundational media writing course at California State University - Northridge.

He also creates video essays and writes articles about film, TV, theater, and show business for his YouTube channel and podcast, Wonder in the Dark.

He lives and works in Los Angeles.
